This kit relocates your Winch Control Box of your Smittybilt GEN3 X20 winch to your engine bay. Usually you have to do this because you're optimizing space behind the bumper, but really this upgrade has even more advantages:
Firstly - this makes plugging in your winch controller very easy and safe. Simply pop your hood and plug it in. This also gives very easy access to the switch to activate your wireless controller!
Secondly - the control box is the least waterproof and most likely part to cause your winch to fail. Moving it to the top of the engine bay keeps the contactors and electrical connections away from submersion in water, mud and road grime.
The kit contains a steel powdercoated bolt on mount specific to your Smittybilt Gen3 X20 and RAM Truck, as well as proper length cables that are color coded to match the factory for clean and easy installation.
