Active Grille Shutter [AGS] Delete Kit | RAM 1500 DT

Have an Eco-diesel powered 1500 or rebel and want to upgrade to an aftermarket bumper? Well too bad you'll get a check engine light ... until now, thanks to this VICE Design Kit!

Now also compatible with the radiator grille shutters, for better control over the cooling of your engine!

Using our simple kit allows you to remove the active grill shutters from your RAM 1500 or Rebel. Simply unplugging the grill shutters will result in a Check Engine Light (CEL). This kit allows you to remove the large grill shutters assembly that block air flow to your intercooler or radiator, without throwing a CEL. 

Includes a grill shutter motor mounting bracket, all the hardware to mount the shutter motor, and detailed instructions. If removing bumper and radiator shutters two delete kits are required.

Our MOD V2 bumper even has a dedicated mounting spot for this bracket, tucked neatly inside the bumper where it plugs into the OEM harness.

How it works:

Its more than a mount to hold the motor. When you power on your truck, the grill shutters perform some movement checks to ensure they are not jammed or stuck. There's an allowable range of motion and if the motor turns more or less than what is allowable, it will throw a code. Thanks to development work we've done with these trucks, we've determined the allowable range of movement, and this kit duplicates that perfectly. 

Compatibility:

2020-2023 Ram vehicles equipped with the 3rd Generation Ecodiesel Engine

2019-2025 Ram 1500 DT trucks equipped with 5877r1006 radiator grille shutter motors.
