We're stoked to now offer the best recovery solution for your 5th Gen (2019 - 2024) RAM 2500 or 3500 Truck!
Many of you want to have a winch equipped truck (Hey we do too!) But that leaves you with only one option with expensive dealership options - the Powerwagon. You can now build your very own off-road exploring rig from a Tradesman, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited, Big Horn etc. Simple to Luxury you can have your cake and eat it too.
This bolt-on kit installs a winch perfectly behind your factory bumper. Compatible with all trucks equipped with the 6.4 liter HEMI engine. This kit comes with all the Heavy Duty Steel Bracketry, and graded hardware to mount a winch with pulling capacity up to and including 12,000 lbs!
WHAT WINCH SHOULD I CHOOSE?
We've hand picked two winches that work fantastic with our mount, and developed a suite of aftermarket upgrades for them that make using our kit safe, fun and easy.
Why these two?
-They're strong and wont weight down your suspension.
- Completely Waterproof (IP68)
-Equipped with Synthetic Line (safer, lighter, and easier to handle)
-Tons of pulling power in a compact package.
-Clockable clutch handle
- Relocatable Control Box
Our winch mounts are compatible with other medium body winches that use the same bolt pattern (10" x 4.5"). If you'd like to use another brand winch and are unsure if it will fit, please send us a message.
MULTIPLE LIGHTING OPTIONS
It's one thing to be stuck, but it's worse if you can't see! That's why we offer multiple Lighting Kit options that will illuminate your way or work area. These include brackets that bolt to our hidden winch mount, and include a sealed wiring harness.
We've hand picked quality lights that are of great value. More importantly they integrate seamlessly with our Hidden Winch Mount.
Our most popular fog light option is the Street Legal SAE Kit. These 3" Cubes throw out a clean beam of light and match to the factory LED Headlight color temperature. They turn on in an instant and focus light down along the road, not the heavens. These are available in a WHITE or YELLOW lens option.
CONTROL BOX RELOCATION KIT
Want the utmost reliability? Of course you do, that's why you're shopping at VICE. Don't forget to add the Control Box Relocation Kit. This kit we build moves the brain box of the winch into the engine bay of your truck. This has multiple advantages. Firstly - this makes plugging in your winch controller very easy and safe. Simply pop your hood and plug it in. Secondly - the control box is the least waterproof and most likely part to cause your winch to fail. Moving it to the top of the engine bay keeps the contactors and electrical connections away from submersion in water, mud and road grime. Along with all the pre-made wires, we supply a mount that bolts directly into your engine bay - no drilling any holes.
OH THATS NEAT EH
Another neat component included in the winch mount kit is the Hook Anchor. No longer worry about rattles and scratching the paint on your bumper by letting your winch hook dangle and flap around at the fairlead. Simply slide the hook over the Anchor, and tension the line. Securely mounted, and easily accessed.
This mounting kit fits all RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks that have the 6.4 HEMI Gas Motors. This kit DOES NOT FIT Trucks with the 6.7 Cummins Diesel Engines due the packaging of its intercooler etc. This kit is compatible with front parking sensors and license plates.
All the heavy duty steel bracketry is dipped to remove any contaminants before being coated in a Zinc based primer before being top coated with a Satin Black Powdercoat Finish. All hardware provided is also Zinc coated and Graded.
Installation is straight forward - See for yourself in the comprehensive installation video below!
just got done installing mine in a 2023, 2500 Laramie. I’m an old guy with a bad shoulder it took me about 3 1/2 hours to get it installed. Probably the worst part was the relocation and getting that to fit in the small space. I use an oscillating cutter to cut out the grill for the fair lead. I cut out the whole area, but I probably could’ve cut out a smaller area because the mount itself sits behind the actual mesh so I could’ve cut out just enough for the fair and the lights but that’s OK I love it. works great.
I have been extremely please with the product that Vice Designs makes. There customer service has also been top notch answering anything and even sending out an extra piece. I even wrote an article about the install.
Works well with my 2020 RAM 2500 gasser . Installation took me about 4 hours and that is without removing the front bumper. To be honest probably would have been easier if I removed the front bumper. But nevertheless work great. I installed a Badlands Apex 12K winch everything wired up works great. I also purchased the optional light brackets and wired in some additional lighting.
I haven’t even open the box yet waiting on getting a winch what’s the customer service I have has been great and answered all my questions hopefully in the next two months I’ll find a winch that suits my needs
This hidden winch mount is friggin genius! I used my Jeep winch a lot, so I knew I wanted one on my truck, but the comparable power wagon was $40k more than a low milage 2500 I found, and after getting this installed, I am so glad I went this way... even though I got it before they offered free shipping :-)
Getting bumper alignment 100% took a little longer than I expected as I hadn't realized the frame brackets moved, but ANYONE can install this thing. I used a couple of large plastic storage bins to support the bumper and winch as I removed/replaced them respectively, and the only effort really was getting the winch off of that up into the bracket...
The only bummer is not a Vice Design issue at all ... Warn's current wireless* remote option at the moment (after a recall) is an app on your phone.. so I would do SB if I were to do it over.. as that was what I had on my Jeep and that wireless remote was a lifesaver on more than one occasion... but I'm still super stoked overall with everything.
*the WARN wireless app works well, but a phone in a recovery situation..gloves, dirt, battery etc.. and it activates the solenoid longer than the wired does or my SB wireless.
*The fog light bracket holes didn't accommodate the supplied carriage bolt shoulders, so I used a size down (8mm vs 10 I think) and ended up replacing the plastic keepers for the valance to fit the new brackets for those, but everything else fit like a glove. 775 bazillion stars!
